GOVERNMENT PLANS
There are three main health insurance entities sponsored by the government: Medicare (federal), Medicaid (state), and Tricare (military). Because not all Americans are eligible for each program, comparing individual plan benefits is more complicated. Below are links to each program's eligibility page and any plan comparison features they offer.
MEDICARE AND MEDIGAP
For people 65 years of age and older or with certain qualifying disabilities or chronic conditions.
COLORADO MEDICAID
For low-income individuals and families, children, pregnant women, and people with qualifying disabilities
TRICARE
For current and former members of the United States military, Reserve, National Guard, and their families

Other governmental programs, like the Children's Health Insurance Program (CHIP) and the Indian Health Service (IHS), may be able to offer additional coverage to certain people. See Terms and Abbreviations for more information on these programs.
